New York , Capital of Photography by Max Kozloff: Book Review

I couldn't find a book that related to my topic in the college library so I chose to do a book review on something I like. I love travelling and would love to go to New York so I chose a book about it. The part of the book that I most enjoyed were the images at the end. I like looking at other peoples work and seeing all of the street photography as a moment in time is captured.
One of my favourite photographs from the whole book is on page 107 and titled In a New York Penthouse, 1931. I love how the photographer Edward Steichen captured two women classic for the time period in nice clothing and hairstyles. Also the photograph looks candid and I love how the skyline is seen in the background.
My favourite section of text is the part about Fallen Culture as I find the history interesting and I like how they compare New York in the 1920's to now, explaining how the times have changed and how it effects photographers.

Shadow Work in the Studio
